Our company makes it a point to support local 4-H groups every year. While this year looked a lot different due to the coronavirus, we were still able to take part in a virtual version of the Monroe 4H County Fair Auction.
This year, 4H groups around Michigan held virtual auctions online, using fairentry.com and with the help of Michigan State University. These auctions stayed open for a few days, so interested parties could browse the children’s entries and place a bid. Cadillac Asphalt always donates the meat from any animals it purchases to local food pantries.
This year, we won a bid on two pigs and were able to donate their meat to Saline Social Services.
