M5 Grand River/MLK Bridge Design-Build Project

Cadillac was a subcontractor on a Design-Build project for the MLK Bridge over John C. Lodge Freeway (M-10) which included approximately 2.35 miles of Grand River Ave. (M-5) from Cass Ave to I-94.

Detroit, MI

The project included repairs to the longitudinal and transverse joints prior to paving along with milling 1.5Ó of the existing asphalt and replacing it with new HMA.

Cadillac accomplished the paving by utilizing a 24Õ paver screed which eliminated several miles of cold longitudinal joints. Cadillac received a Quality in Construction Award from the National Asphalt Pavement Association for their work on Grand River Ave. (M-5)
